YOGA.

Practicing presence not poses.

Guided Practice.

I encourage you to explore yoga as a practice of presence and empowering you to cultivate a stronger sense of belonging in your body and your life. We always move mindfully, with support and awareness of your breath throughout.

Space for all of us.

True liberation and empowerment comes when we are all represented. When we all feel like we belong. When we are all heard. Much of my work focusses on disrupting systems of oppression and the healing of black, brown and marginalised people.

Honouring the roots.

Yoga has been far removed from its roots in the East and reduced to a shadow of itself in the West. It is important for me to continually share from the source, learn deeply and apply it off the mat, encouraging others to do the same.

Weekly Schedule

Tuesdays

Yoga In The Village Portslade - 8.00 PM (1 hour)
Portslade Village Centre, Brighton

A local class open to all, regardless of age and abilities. We move to expand and explore, with awareness of the breath throughout.

Monthly

As the seasons change, so do our needs, minds and bodies and Ayurveda and yoga provide the perfect foundations for it. Join me online at Tejal Yoga taking you through each month this year to learn seasonal ways to live with Ayurveda and Yoga.

Wednesdays

Pranayama for all bodies of colour - 7.30 AM (30 mins)

Online at Indie Wellness

A morning session to start the day right with a focus on breath and energy to understand more about our inner world. For those that identify as Black, Brown or part of a marginalised community.

Yoga for Women of Colour - 6.30 PM (1 hour)
BMECP Centre, Brighton

Conversation and gentle yoga come together to create a brave space for those that are racialised to come as their whole self.

Find your flow in a one-to-one session.

Whilst group classes provide connection, Yoga was traditionally taught between one teacher and student. It is here, the experience can be made individual, to meet you where you are. I tailor each session according to your physical and emotional need as well as introduce deeper aspects of Pranayama, Meditation and Philosophy to help you take your practice off the mat.

“I was looking for more to yoga than just exercise. Indie provides that balance beautifully - there is lots of movement with the breath, which I find really helps to calm my mind and improve my overall mood. Even if I go to classes feeling tired and grumpy I always come out with a more positive outlook!”
