  • Prior to consultation I’ll ask you to prep a little so I have the best chance of a true assessment. In consultation with me, I will use our time together (1-2 hours) to ask you questions about your life. This can include anything from your work and nutrition currently, to your childhood and relationships throughout your life. I liken it to if you had an appointment with a psychologist and a GP!

As we finish up, I’ll take a pulse and tongue check. There’s nothing to be concerned about - this is to help me further understand your unique makeup and any imbalances we need to work on.

  • Yes. In person consultation is always advised, however this will not include the pulse assessment or an in person tongue check. You will be required to send images of your tongue as advised by me.

  • To get the most benefit from Ayurvedic therapies, I may ask you to prepare your body a little. This can look like reducing caffeine, alcohol and certain foods in the days leading to your appointment. I will advise on what kinds of foods and drinks will be beneficial during this time instead. This will help your body to expel toxins and enable you to get the best out of your treatment.

Of course, as with all things, it is entirely your choice to follow through on the advice, but it will always be offered to you.

  • The short answer - it depends. Ayurveda believes each and every one of us has a unique makeup of the doshas (five great elements) that is not the same as anyone else. We need to take this into account when assessing routes for treatment. This is before we even begin to tackle existing health conditions that you may be coming to me with.

Treatment can take many forms from food, herbs, lifestyle changes and therapies, with the aim to resolve or relieve from the root cause. This takes time and dedication from you to follow through on treatment.

You can definitely expect vast improvements to your life by following an Ayurvedic treatment plan or lifestyle but as with all alternative medicine modalities, I can’t make any claims of completely eradicating chronic health issues.

  • I am fully insured for all my work across Yoga, Ayurveda and facials. I will also be happy to wear a mask if it helps you to be more comfortable as well as disinfect between clients at the clinic.
